How swimming affects your body?


Whether one swims competitively or does swimming as an exercise in free time, the effects on body are unlimited and all these affects are healthy and beneficial. People belonging to any age group can start swimming. It not only helps in the physical fitness of the body but has many other benefits, e.g. it’s very useful in reducing weight, decreases the cholesterol level of the body, improve the sleeping patterns, stimulate the digestion process, helps the person suffering from asthma and cardiovascular diseases and increase the muscle mass.

Like many other exercises, swimming stimulates and increases the level of endorphin in our body. This hormone is a natural pain killer and stress fighter. Endorphin helps to relieve the pain, stress and fear, diminish the feelings of loneliness, sadness and maintain a good happy mood.  Swimming refreshes the mind as well. It not only increases the amount of relaxing hormones in the body but also helps in meditation.  The person feels pleasure, light hearted, relaxed and calm after swimming. Mostly people do swimming in evening time after coming back from office or any hard training to relieve the stress and burden of work.
